With the rapid development of power grid technology and communication technology, and the emergence of a variety of new electrical business, the traditional leased line transmission services was difficult to fully meet the demand of electric power communication business development In order to adapt to the development of the grid and meet the needs of information by electricity enterprise. The construction of electricity data network, which is existing communications services and will provide some unified, multi-protocol support, is the key to the power data network development.This paper firstly analyzes the current situation and problems of northeastern Jiangxi Electric Power Data Network, then carefully comb and summarize the data network business demand. In addition, combining with the fiber coverage in northeast Jiangxi, we design its network topology. According to the specific requirements, we choose the right routing protocol and design the link and bandwidth for route interconnection between the stations, also we complete the design of a multi-protocol label switching virtual private network, taking into account in the design of network security issues. The method of network simulation and the actual engineering were used in northeastern Jiangxi power data network testing. With construction of the network topology by OPNET platform, we complete the simulation tests for network performance. Refer to the specific implementation of the project, we set the selected hardware configuration and rationalplanning router IP address, and complete the data router software configuration. By building a test platform for routing we complete the test of the performance and protocol in network, as well as the routing interoperability, which shows that the overall design of the indicators in northeastern Jiangxi power data network meet all indicators and requirements.
