With the rapid development of economy and the urbanization in China, lifeline engineering increase more intensive and complex. Gas system is an important part of the lifeline, once suffered devastating earthquake suffered direct disaster while also lead to more serious secondary disasters(fires, explosions and so on), causing heavy damage and casualties.Earthquake emergency handling technology is an effective means of reducing gas network earthquake secondary disasters. For a long time, China’s research in seismic aspects of the pipeline project has matured, but the development and application of seismic emergency handling technology is still in its infancy. This paper summarizes the principles of emergency treatment technology and processes, based on the gas pipeline network of seismic emergency handling system design and applications should be noted that the problem is studied, given the principles and methods of determining a threshold and divided blocks, and Tangshan city gas pipeline network, for example, the seismic vulnerability and reliability analysis, recommendations are given threshold and block division scheme of emergency disposal system, initially completed the planning and design of Tangshan City gas Network earthquake emergency disposal system.The main contents are as follows:1.Summarizes the research status of the gas system of earthquake emergency handling technologies, summarizes the characteristics of earthquake damage to gas facilities and seismic factors, analyzed the damage rate of the gas pipeline network and gas system damage prediction;2.Based on the principle and process analysis system, gives the principle and method to determine the threshold of the emergency disposal system, points out that attention should be paid to the design of gas pipeline network in earthquake emergency disposal problems, and put forward the corresponding improvement suggestion;3. Using the volatility calculation to calculate seismic intensity of the Tangshan gas pipelines under different stress values, analyze the failure probability of a single pipeline based on the tristate failure criterion, gives of the earthquake intensity and damage rates at different gas pipeline failure probability, and the number of the destruction of Tangshan gas trunk pipeline network.4. Combined the layout of Tangshan medium pressure gas pipe network, give the emergency handling system block partition plan and the threshold value, initially completed the design and planning on a seismic emergency handling system of Tangshan gas network., gives the valve arrangement and the related suggestions on gas dispersion.
