Seismic safety evaluation based on source characteristics, mode of transmissionand the study of geological conditions, through the investigation and study ofgeological conditions, seismology geological and ground motion parameter, to analyzethe law of seismic generation and the future development, as well as the law of seismicwave transmission, attenuation and site seismic effects, from the actual needs of theproject. Seismic safety evaluation is to provide a detailed scientific basis for seismicdesign of engineering structures.Studies the relevant work methods of seismic safety evaluation, includingstatistical methods of seismic activity, the judgment of seismic geological structure andthe seismogenic structure, and studies the division methods and principles of potentialsource area, the determination method of seismic activity related parameters and theground motion attenuation relationship, based on these results, studies the probabilityanalysis method of seismic hazard analysis. Also analysis the methods numericalsimulation and oval model design of artificial ground motion time history, describesthe mathematical model and the determining method of design ground motionparameters are used to the analysis of soil reaction and analysis the geophysicalexploration techniques, which often used in seismic safety evaluation.By describes a project instance, explain and analysis the theory of seismic safetyevaluation studied, reference for practical engineering site seismic safety evaluation.
