Sliding bearing is the most important parts of electrical machine. It supports the rotor and offering damping. Lubricating oil always been used by motor bearing to lubricating and radiating the heat. Oil supply influences the reliability of the electrical machine’s operation. For quite a long time, large motor bearing has used external drainage. This way of oil supply is the most wild and safe one. However, this way increases the rate of system’s breaking down and installation requirements. So developing a way with high safety factor and low installation requirements is very imperative.According to the market requirements, lacquer tray oil supply, a whole new way of oil supply, is designed and stated in this thesis. Lacquer tray is installed on motor bearing. It will sustain the oil supply while the motor bearing starts to roll. The system will be more safe, reliable, cheap and convenient.This thesis starts with calculating the theory of bearing. Then exploring the theoretical calculate formula of the oil that the bearing needs which is the design goal of this lacquer tray’s oil supply. The lacquer tray’s oil supply must match the bearing’s needs. Then using FLUENT which is a hydromechanics analysis software to built a fluid simulation model. It will change the bearing’s working conditions parameters which influence the oil supply of lacquer tray. This change will help us to confirm various factors that affecting the oil supply of lacquer tray. The oil supply of lacquer tray is as the result of this simulation outputting. After all this,we can design a experiment table according to the range of the bearing’s working conditions parameters. The experiment table can be a tool to compare the quantity of simulation oil and the real oil in the same working condition. Through analysis, the difference between the two oil’s quantity is very little.The experimental data verify the boundary selection of simulation model and the correctness of hypothesis. It proves that this simulation model can be used to analyze the oil’s quantity of lacquer tray. Then, we can get the need of the oil’s quantity in some bearings through flow calculation software. After that, we can design and built the lacquer tray, simulating working condition of the motor, testing the pocket bearing, detecting the temperature in bearing’s different parts. When the temperature in the key parts are in control, the bearing that used the oil supply of lacquer tray can be prove to be running stable.
