Suitable surface texturing can improve lubrication and friction properties of friction pair. The studies of surface texturing mainly focusing on experiment, and theoretical researches are relatively less up to now. The studies of cavitaition caused by texture only verified the existence of this phenomenon, still didn’t consider the texturing parameters and working parameters influence on cavitaition intensity. Most of the models are simply based on Reynolds equation regardless of energy equation. Based on the above two points, this paper is going to carry out simulation and experimental study on cavitation and considering viscosity temperature effect lubrication of surface texturing.Firstly, the cavitation images are collected through experiment to analysis the working and texture parameters effect on cavitation. Then, to investigate the mechanism of surface texturing induced cavitation, surface texturing lubrication numerical calculation model is set up based on Reynolds equation. Difference method and different cavitation boundary conditions are adapted to solve equations. The surface texturing considering viscosity temperature effect lubrication model consists of Reynolds equation and energy equation. In this model, coefficients of friction are regarded as the evaluation criterion to study different texture parameters effect on coefficients of friction. Finally, the correctness of the model is verified by experiment.Through experiments, the cavitation phenomena can be observed when the velocity achieving a certain high value. The cavitation images can be gathered at different texture length as well as texture depth. With the increase of velocity as well as width and depth of texture, the pressure drop at texture area also increase, this causes gas overflow and oil evaporation quantity increase, thus enhancing cavitation intensity. Bearing capacities and frictional force under viscosity temperature effect model are lower than the model ignoring viscosity temperature effect at the same conditions. Meanwhile, the influence of viscosity temperature effect on bearing capacities is greater than frictional force causing coefficients of friction a little big higher, which is more close to experiment value. Meantime, the temperature rise is lower at texture area than full fluid film area. Within the range of this study, with the increase of texture depth, coefficients of friction are also increase. The coefficients of friction reduce with the increase of texture length and number of textures. With the increase of distance between two textures, coefficients of friction slightly increase firstly, essentially constant then. With the texture position varies from the lubricating oil entrance to export, the friction factor decreases gradually.
