With the rapid development of economy in twenty-first Century, the building structure is moving towards the top, large span in the direction of development. high strength, lightweight, durable, sustainable development will be the main development direction of concrete materials, high strength lightweight aggregate reinforced concrete structure reflects the tremendous prospects for development as a kind of building structure with good working performance, compared with ordinary reinforced concrete structure, it has the advantages of high rigidity structure, large bearing capacity, good seismic performance, and compared with the steel structure building, it has the local and global stability of structure, saving steel, good fireproof performance.This paper selects a story frame structure building, and the building structure optimal designed by using high strength lightweight aggregate concrete with the same strength instead of ordinary concrete. The main work is as follows: under the premise of ensuring the structural bearing capacity, the overall stability of the structure, the maximum drift angle under seismic load and some other mechanical properties meet the regulatory requirements, the building’s frame beam size and column section size were optimized, and the bases of the building were re-designed; Using the PKPM to compare the constructions before and after optimization for seismic force in X, Y direction, base shear and maximum floor displacement under the earthquake; finally, this paper calculated the construction cost of the building before and after optimization.This paper compared the high strength lightweight aggregate concrete structure and the ordinary concrete structure in their mechanical properties and analysis of the economy. It is found that the high strength lightweight aggregate concrete structure on mechanical properties has a greater advantage, and it saves 12.15% of the budget in the engineering cost than the ordinary concrete structure. This paper provides a reference to ceramsite concrete extension, and provides some basic data for the application of lightweight aggregate concrete,and for the decision of the construction units, design units and construction general contracting unit..
