High-strength lightweight aggregate concrete which has light weight, high-strength,good fire resistance, good crack resistance and low cost, is a kind of green building materials with good application prospect. The weight of structure can be greatly reduced and the seismic performance can be greatly improved by applying this material to modern architecture.At present, the research on lightweight aggregate concrete is imperfect, and in order to promote the development of high strength lightweight aggregate concrete in domestic, a frame structure with this material is studied by using finite element software, which will provide theoretical basis and data support for its applying in engineering.Based on the experimental research of high-strength lightweight aggregate concrete frame, the seismic performances of the frame are analyzed by ABAQUS, The results from finite element analysis are in good agreement with the test. On this basis, some parameters that affect the load-displacement curve of the frame are studied, including strength of concrete,axial compression ratio and beam rigidity. Researches show that:(1) With the increasing of concrete strength grade, the bearing capacity and stiffness of high strength lightweight aggregate concrete frame will increase, but the increase rate is unobvious.(2) When the axial compression ratio increases from 0 to 0.3, the stiffness of this frame in elastic stage will change little, but the ductility performance decreases obviously.(3) When the ratio of beam and column line stiffness is increased from 0.25 to 0.5, the bearing capacity and elastic stiffness of the frame will increase obviously, but the ductility performance change little. And when the ratio of beam and column line stiffness is increased from 0.5 to 0.75, the increasing rate of the frame bearing capacity will decrease gradually and the destruction of the frame will exacerbate.(4) Under the action of frequent earthquake, the peak displacements of top layer and bottom layer of high strength lightweight aggregate concrete frame appear at almost consistent moment, and structural lateral displacements are distributed as inverted triangular along the height, which resulted an overall shear deformation.(5) Under the action of rare frequent earthquake, the peak displacements of top layer and bottom layer of the frame appear at different moment, for the plastic of the frame is growing and the response appears to be nonlinear. Under the action of both frequent earthquake and rare frequent earthquake, theinterlayer displacement angle of this frame structure is less than the requirements of seismic design code in China, which shows that the frame with strong column weak beam has good seismic performance.
