Along with the continuous development of science and progress of economy, electricity demand is make a spurt of progress. The turbine as the original motivation in equipment manufacturing industry which promoting the development of power industry, plays an important role in ensuring the power supply, concerns the state energy security and the lifeline of the national economy, taking stride forward to high parameters and high efficiency and super critical direction, realize the leap style development.This dissertation from the status quo of China equipment manufacturing industry, choose the largest orders of TF turbine factory in 2014 as the research object based on the discussion about the lean production and value stream mapping and other related theories. First, use Microsoft Visio 2003 draw the current value stream map of the rotor production based on the present data collected. According to the current value stream map and combined with the rotor production site, find out the non value-added time in the production process, equipment layout, logistics route, bottleneck process, etc. Secondly, propose the improvement scheme by introducing lean production ideas such as field management and pull production and balanced production and JIT logistics. Finally, draw the future value stream map based on the application of Plant Simulation software. And through the implementation of the program, the value-added time is reduced by 71 hours, the non value-added time is shortened by 28 days, the distance is reduced by 1756 meters, the value-added proportion increased 4.48%, proved using the value stream mapping technology to optimize the lean production in rotor production has good practical value.Through the research discovery, value stream mapping technology in mass-produced enterprises application is comparatively mature, but the current domestic and foreign research case of the engineer-to-order production enterprises such as turbine production is still relatively small. The case study of the implementation effect of lean production in the production layout and production cycle and the transportation distance in engineer-to-order production enterprise analysis is relatively small. So, proved using the value stream mapping technology to optimize the lean production in engineer-to-order production enterprise has high theoretical significance and strong practical application value.
