Since 2012, with the first newborn becoming the old age after the establish of PRC, the first peak of the old age growth is coming. And with the arrival of the aging countries inevitably, all sorts of old problems will be encountered. the living environment problem plays an important role in the different aging problem, increasingly becoming the most important part of the aging problem. Living environment is not only the place for senior citizens to relax but the place which should meet their demands of living, fitness, entertainment and social activity.But now, most outdoor environment and landscapes of the living district are not good in our country. For example, the few activity spaces is not enough and the green environments are not good. Also, there are some places in idle because the improper planning and the poor design without the consideration of various features of districts. The cause is the lack of the consideration of different demand of different crowds and the lack of the standard design principle.Based on the native demand and whole environment factors, this paper studies the connection between senior citizen demands and living district environments through the way of environmental psychology, praxiology and climatology in the hot-summer and cold-winter areas. The paper finally indicates the key point of design of the outdoor environment in the hot-summer and cold-winter areas.Innovation point of this paper is to summarize the characteristics of the senior citizen outdoor activity behaviors and diversified needs in Hefei based on the authentic data, making up the absence of specific search, to analysis the existent problem of outdoor environment in the living district, and to indicate the design which could meet the demand in the hot-summer and cold-winter areas.
