With the rapid development of low-power devices and wireless sensing system, the power supply system has received more and more attention. As a typical branch of the energy harvesting field, the vibration energy harvesting can improve the situation substantially. The vibration energy harvesting has many advantages, such as simple structure, easy installation, no electromagnetic interfere, passive property and so on. It is very suitable to be the power supply for the low-power devices. So based on the research of the struct about the vibration energy converter, we design a vibration energy converter and develop four kinds of energy harvesting circuit, and then develop a energy harvesting system to converter the vibration energy to electric energy. So, above all, what I do is summarized as follows:1. Use the vibration theory of piezoelectric ceramics and the vibration function of the beam to determine the best-paste location of the piezoelectric ceramics. Design a mechanical device of piezoelectric energy harvesting, and test the energy converter ability at different vibration frequency.2. Combined with the theoretical analyze and the simulation, we research four kinds of energy harvesting circuits. And then analyze the energy converter ability and the circuit parameter influence of energy harvesting device. At last, compare the capability of those energy harvesting circuits.3. In order to store the collected electric energy to a battery directly, we design a DC-DC buck circuit. After the DC-DC circuit, the colledted energy is suitable for the charge management circuit. Then we design a charge management circuit and store the collected energy to the battery.4. Energy harvesting system test. Design a new energy harvesting system with Linear Technology Corporation’s energy harvesting IC LTC3588-1, and then test the output power of the two energy harvesting systems at the fixed vibration frequency, at last, analyze the reason.
