Since the reform and opening up of China’s rapid economic development, city construction and people’s living standards continue to improve the city’s water demand increases, therefore put forward higher request to the city water supply system, water supply reliability, stability, economy directly affect the city’s construction and the development of economy, also affected the normal life and the work of residents. Variable frequency constant pressure water supply technology is the most water supply system development in China in recent years, this technology hardware equipment is the key, foreign plants are higher than China in the hardware equipment function and the use of automation control requirements. In the 90’s the introduction of the inverter and PLC technology, now most of the domestic water use single frequency conversion water supply or use PLC to control the small pump pump water supply mode, the control mode of the two small single scope control for water quantity changes of water can not make continuous constant pressure control. Most of the domestic water still is using the control method, which can not meet the national requirements of water supply industry to improve the water quality of water quality requirements. According to various water supply pressure to the domestic used control methods are analyzed, in view of the large amount of water changes the water and brings forward the optimization design of water supply system.Firstly, understand the current status of domestic and foreign water supply system, analysis of the impact of performance, various domestic water supply system efficiency, cost, the water supply network, the selected constant pressure water supply scheme.Secondly, performance and principle of the inverter, soft starter and PLC equipment and RSLogix5 series of industrial control software is analyzed in detail and how to used in water control in the. According to the constant pressure water supply requirements to design the hardware control circuit, the inverter control system, soft starter and PLC equipment into an automatic constant pressure water supply plant.Finally, the use of Rockwell’s RSLogix5 series industrial control software programming of PLC enable the system to achieve automatic constant pressure water supply requirements, the use of RSview software for PC interface. The control mode of the system adopts the distributed control, set the PLC water supply sub station, quantity, collecting water pumps station, clear water tank water level of outlet pressure, water flow, pump water, pump, water pressure to use for the number, water pump frequency data, return control equipment through the PLC control procedure, so that the water supply system to achieve automatic adjustment constant pressure water water reasonable allocation of city water supply and plant water consumption and water and water pressure, automatic water supply.
