IMARSART is a communication satellite as a relay station using a radio communication system vessel. It has the world(except the poles outside the region),full-time, all-weather, stable, reliable, high-quality, large capacity and automatic communication and other significant advantages. Beidou satellite navigation system developed by China’s global satellite positioning and communication systems.Available worldwide weather, all kinds of time to provide users with high-precision,highly reliable positioning, navigation and timing services, and a short message communication capabilities. This topic is based on maritime satellite system and the Beidou navigation system designed for a Marine / Beidou navigation terminal mode.The terminal can be used for voice communication, SMS communication, e-mail communications, data transmission, navigation and other functions.This paper introduces the maritime satellite communication systems and Beidou satellite navigation system structure, function, working principle and applications.Through the introduction of other products they made in the field of communications and navigation widely used, and in China has been actively developed.This paper describes the next Maritime / Compass dual mode terminal applications, the technical characteristics of the terminal, the main function, key technologies and application methods.
