The data of urban bus travel is the basic data of urban transit planning and operations. The problem, which is the first thing in current urban transport construction, is how to get the travel data of residents to deal with the growing demand for bus travel. Traditional public transit data collection methods are manual techniques, which not only spend a lot of manpower and resources, but also exist several inherent defects such as the low sample size and precision of the collected data. After applying the electronic information technology to urban public transit system, the smart card was invented and widely used, which provides a new way for collecting the public transit data. However, most cities are using the one-vote bus IC card system. The bus IC card data, generated by the system, is lack of stations where passengers board and alight so that we can not use it to construct the urban bus travel OD matrix. Therefore, it is extremely important to learn how to utilize the bus IC card data to generate the urban bus travel OD matrix. The main work and innovation of the thesis is summarized as follows:Mined the features of urban bus travel. By using statistical analysis to extract the features of urban bus travel from the bus IC card data, we can find the spatial and temporal features, understand the way that urban residents choose bus lines and learn how passengers behave when they are boarding. All the features are the basic theories of generating the urban bus travel OD matrix based on the incomplete bus IC card data.Innovatively proposed an algorithm to generate the characteristic boarding station. Based on the characteristic that bus lines the passenger had taken in rush hour must share a bus station, we can get the characteristic boarding station and characteristic bus lines of the passenger in rush hour. By checking whether the bus line of the IC card record is one of the characteristic bus lines of the passenger, we can confirm the boarding station of this IC card record.Constructed the urban bus travel OD matrix based on the characteristic boarding stations of passengers and the bus IC card data. By using the characteristic boarding stations, we can confirm the boarding station of some IC card data, the direction of buses per trip, the boarding station of all passengers and the alighting station. After that, we construct the urban bus travel OD matrix on the basis of the complete IC card data.Experimental data shows that the results of this research can be used to confirm the boarding station and the alighting station of the IC card data. Besides constructing urban bus travel OD matrix, the complete IC card data can also be used in other transportation data mining. After mapping the urban bus travel OD matrix to the car trip OD matrix, we simulate the urban traffic status by using the microscopic traffic simulation system and get more realistic simulation data.
