The aim of location management is to keep track of user equipment,ensuring that we can rapidly and accurately deliver the call to the target UE when an incoming call arrives.Then we can establish a communication link, balance the cost of location updating and location paging, and efficiently using cyber source so as to avoid unnecessary waste.The performance analysis,conducted by signaling cost analysis,plays an important role in the determining of the location management scheme and network system design. Nowadays, China’s car parc is surging, meanwhile the traffic is becoming more and more crowded. In order to meet the requirements of car travel about mobility on Internet of Vehicle, which can efficiently make use of cyber source to avoid unnecessary waste, a new auto location management strategy adapted to Internet of Vehicle is needed.In this paper, the structure of Internet of Vehicle and location management strategies of the current communication system are studied in detail.According to the characteristics of basic network-construction, Internet of Vehicle is divided into the network and non network.For the network, making use of the high precision and real time characteristic of network RTK in satellite navigation technology, the author designs a location management model, based on RTK, of Internet of Vehicle for the network, and verifies the influence of observation time and baseline length on the positioning accuracy. A location management model based on GAW(GNSS And WAVE) is proposed, the module of the database deployment and the communication mechanism are established. Further,it can be divided into two location areas,the urban topological two-dimensional dynamic and non urban topological one-dimensional overlapping of K degrees.Then the author conceives a strategy for dynamic location update of vehicle, based on the three-layer region,and a strategy for location paging through three steps,based on the driving direction of vehicle. Besides, the rationality of location paging strategy is verified by using the GPS data of taxis in Shenzhen. In non urban topology,recent interactive cell and entrance cell are introduced to offset the influence of Ping-pong Effect and improve the paging efficiency.For non network, a location management model, based on the short message of the Big Dipper,is proposed.Further a location management strategy based on time distance is designed.The simulation and performance analysis is conducted by using Matlab software. To validate the proposed strategies for the three structures of Internet of Vehicle, software models was wrote respectively, using C# on VS2010.Due to the distinction with the model of location management strategy for existed communication systems,the topological model of the static location management strategy for Internet of Vehicle will greatly save the system resources and effectively carry out the location management on Internet of Vehicle.
