With the electronic measurement technology is widely used in various scientific work, oscilloscope as the electronic measuring equipment, its test requirements are also increased gradually. Due to conventional digital oscilloscope have the characteristics such as large volume and hard to move, so it is disadvantage for testing in the demanding environment. In recent years, the emergence of the mobile platforms access to people’s live and realizes the convenient and efficient ways of life. So combine with the characteristics of the oscilloscope, the combination of oscilloscope and intelligent platform becomes a current trend, it can realize intelligent and mobile of oscilloscope. Based on this trend, the thesis designs a virtual oscilloscope based on Android platform.The main work of this paper is:1. Android smart device. As the main control module, the application is writen by Java language. The application of this subject mainly include display interface design, menu module establishment, data sending and receiving, data processing, waveform analysis and user gesture processing and so on. The technology will be used includes multi threading technology, Android touch technology and canvas waveform drawing technology.2. Data acquisition module. It is responsible for data collection, it removes the keyboard module and display module on the basis of traditional oscilloscope. At the same time of data collection, design the functional code of data exchange and command response, complete data interactions with Android intelligent equipment.3. Data exchange module. It is responsible for completing data conversion between data acquisition module and intelligent terminal equipment. The main work includes design the transmission mode of USB read or write operation, and design the driver and firmware program of USB to complete multi byte transmission of the man-machine command.4. Data exchange protocol. Design the transmission ways of data packets and interactive commands, ensure the stability of data transmission, analysis and response of them in Android intelligent terminal equipment and data acquisition terminal respectively.This topic based on the original oscilloscope, combining with the intelligent operating system of Android platform. Take the advantage of wireless network communication of intelligent equipment, we researched and realized the design of virtual oscilloscope based on Android platform. After testing, it realized data exchange, waveform display, single point and multi-point touch technology and other functions. This design has realized real short-range measurement,it also has high mobility and better interactive experience.
