Study On Oscillating Body Wave Energy Converter

Under the multi-pressure and the influence of the energy, environment and economy, exploring new green renewable energy have become a trend. This turns out to be an irreversible stimulant for the development of ocean wave energy conversion technology. Oscillating body Wave Energy Converter (WEC) has been developed recently for the advantage of simple construct, higher energy conversion efficiency and wide frequency response range.This paper gives an overview about the international and domestic research situation of the wave energy generation devices and introduces the operating principle of different Wave Energy Converter. Then the analysis and study on Wave Energy Converter of this paper is pointed out based on the research and introduces. Main work of this paper is listed as follow:(1) The dynamics model of Wave Energy Converter is established by the principle of wave. And the hydrodynamic parameters of three buoy with different shape are obtained through the analysis by finite element software AQWA. Then the motion of different buoys are calculated through the dynamics model with hydrodynamic parameters of hydrodynamic parameters. The conclusion is drew that conversion efficiency of taper is higher than others.(2) The multi-rotor linear generator is designed. And the finite element analysis and experiment is done to verify the correctness of finite element analysis. Then the model of higher conversion efficiency is designed by improving the model of multi-rotor linear generator.(3) The calculation formulas of electromagnetic force is deduced. Then the correctness of the formulas is validated by finite element software Maxwell through two different conditions. And the two results come to consistent.(4) The more precise motion of buoy is calculated by the equation with the formulas of electromagnetic force. The electromagnetic force of linear generator obtained simultaneously. And than the output power is calculated which provide gist for the design of Wave Energy Converter.
