The compressor is widely used in the industrial field. In this paper, centrifugal compressor undertakes compression and transmission of the gas compressor station. As the key equipment in the compression process, the operation and maintenance of the compressor are essential. Therefore, a simulation system including the introduction of structure and working principle and the process regulation method is in need. This paper contains two parts.The first part is compressor operation maintenance simulation system, which based on the great demand for simulation training system of the key equipment in petroleum and petrochemical industry. This system mainly includes the process of compressor station, the introduction of compressor unit and its auxiliary equipment, working principle and structure of compressor, demonstration of assembling and faults simulation and so on. Based on 3D model, this system comprehensively displays the structure and working principle of the main components of the compressor, and simulates the internal flow field and the bearing lubrication and sealing principle, and dynamically demonstrates disassembly sequence, use of tools, moving track, and repair method, and introduces the fault mechanism, characteristics and prevention measures etc. This system integrates video playback, examinations and other functions to provide technical support of the compressor station staff training.The second part is research on influence of operation mechanism on efficiency, including formula derivation of compressor performance curves, calculation of gas energy consumption and comparison of operation schemes. Using similarity theory and dimensional analysis, it study the relationship among the pressure ratio and volume flow rate, inlet pressure, inlet temperature, the size of impellers, the rotating rate and the molecular. The similarity criterions which affect the compressor performance parameters are found out. According to the performance curve, a semi theoretical and semi empirical formula of pressure ratio is derived, whose error is relatively small and can be used to calculate the pressure ratio when any of the above parameters changing.Centrifugal compressors in gas station are usually in parallel operation to complete the task of gas delivery using a combinational regulation method of variable speed and reflux. When the condition changes, the operation schemes should be divided into three types:reflux in neither of the compressors, reflux in either of the compressors or reflux in both of the compressors. Gas energy consumption of the three schemes under certain condition is calculated, which is used to compare the efficiency and security of the unit. The experiment records relative parameters when inlet pressure, outlet pressure or flow rate changes, and then divides the change range into four conditions. Comparing energy consumption under the four conditions, the correctness of the theoretical formula of energy consumption in parallel system is verified. Considering the anti-surge control and energy efficiency, the preferred ranges of the three schemes are provided, which supply reference and guidance for the relevant regulation of the compressor station.
