Due to having incomparable superiority in such aspects as clean, environmental protection, energy saving, fire retardant, water hydraulic transmission is gradually replacing hydraulic transmission in the field of food, pharmaceutical, fire fighting, and so on. But because of the low viscosity and high saturated vapor pressure of the water, it will produce bubbles easily when the valves suddently shut off. It will lead to vibration, noise and erosion. Domestic related research of water hydraulic technology started relatively late, and the test platform of water hydraulic pipeline transient pressure pulsation is scarce currently. It has restricted the further development of water hydraulic technology.Guided by the domestic and international research status of water hydraulic transmission technology, a way useing the metal ball hitting the seat to simulate quick shutoff of the valve is proposed in this paper according to the specific test requirements. And the pressure pulsation, the internal phenomenon of pipeline is measured. Then based on the characteristics of testing subjects, choose experiment factors and design the corresponding principle diagram. According to the experiment principle diagram, and combining with theoretical analysis, the components required for the piping system are chose or designed as well as test bench to construct the complete water hydraulic piping system.In the consideration of the system control requirements, using PLC to control the system is adopted in this paper. Draw the corresponding electrical diagram and select electrical components required for control system. Construct the electrical control system and write the ladder diagram programming to realize the function of components test and process control. Then choose the high speed camera, the pressure sensor and data acquisition card to design data acquisition system. Write the LabVIEW program, and use LabVIEW and MiDAS software respectively to collect and save the pressure data and images.Finally integrate test platform, and carry out the function and performance test of the complete test platform. According to the test results, verify the feasibility and correctness of the test platform.
