Electronic transformer is the converting system between high-voltage and big-current side to secondary devices in modern intelligent substation.It is the critical technology in the development of intelligent substation. As an emerging technolog equipment, electronic transformer exposed many problems in the long running.In the electromagnetic transient protection device malfunction is to become one of the major bottlenecks in the widely used of electronic transformer. The structure of electronic transformer is complex, it contains the part of sensor analog、the part of capture cards and the combined unit.The eleronic transformers have many production business int the domestic and its hardware design and software processing program diversity, which make the research of electronic transformer is difficult to carry out theoretically.Base on the problem above,designing a reasonable hardware and software system to testing and validation the characteristics of electronic transformer is a valuable subject.This paper focuses on the work of the above subject.For the hardware and software features of electronic transformer, the paper designed and implemented a set of hardware and software solution for the electronic transformer digital converter module for testing.1. Hardware test system consists of two ARM+FPGA embedded systems and analog amplifier.Each embedded system supports three-way test data output simultaneously.The analog with high voltage and bandwidth characteristics, its dynamic output voltage rang is 30 V and its cutoff frequency is 5.6MHz,which could simulate the input signal of the electronic transformer acquisition card.2. Base on the above hardware solutions, the article first test the steady-state characteristics of the electronic transformer, including the inherent delay characteristics 、 linearity and frequency-domain characteristics. The PC software produce different type data depend on different characteristics testing, then inject the test data to the measured object. On the same time, PC software acquisit input signal of measured object using high-speed and capture the 61950-9-2 signal of the measured object using Winpcap. When the data acquisit finished, PC software find a data point of the input data of the measured object and find the data point of output data of the measured object on the same time, finally, analyze the data using DFT algorithms.3. In the dynamic test, PSCAD simulate the output wareform of electronic transform of the electromagnetic transient process under different circumstances.PC software parse the simulate output file and send the data of electromagnetic transient process to the embedded systems, then test signal amplify and output step by step to the measured object, finally evaluate the electronic transformer dynamic response of electromagnetic transient signal by obtaining and analyzing the output signal of combined unit.
