With the rapid development of Internet of things and the maturity of Internet technology, it has become a reality that connecting the appliances, consumer electronics,environmental information and other items information to the network. Smart home which is regarded as one of the main application domains of Internet of things has obtained more and more people’s attention. Smart home not only gives users a safe,healthy and comfortable living environment, but also allows users to remotely monitor their home and control home appliances. Most of current papers and reports on the smart home are suitable for villas, hotels, intelligent community, but not suitable for ordinary households. The current smart home design also has some problems, such as difficult implementation, high cost and poor compatibility.Aiming to solve these problems in the current smart home system, and combining with user positioning and market demand, a low cost, low power consumption,extensible smart home system solution is put forward in this thesis, and the experiment platform is implemented. The smart home control system uses a smart central controller to set up a radio frequency network at 433 MHz and a radio frequency network at2.4GHz. The client computers or mobile phones can remotely control the smart home system by communicating with the smart central controller, while the control results can be displayed through the browser in time.The smart home system architecture is designed for three layer structure based on Internet of things. In the perceptual layer, the information collection module is designed to real-time monitor of the house by using a variety of sensor technology. According to the control method of home appliance, the appliance control module is designed to control directly all kinds of home appliances and provide interface for the home appliances. Intelligent Gateway has designed to achieve the integration of heterogeneous communication technologies by a variety of communication interfaces.The family internal wireless network consists of two kinds of radio frequency communication networks, through the heterogeneous network integration technology,resources can be shared by each network. The family external network is based on Internet. This network layer is in charge of the transmission and processing of the getting information from perception layer. Application layer provides the interfacebetween smart home system and users. In order to shielding the differences of application development, we select Browse/Server model as the development framework. The application support platform facilitates the development of smart home application based on Web pages and CGI.Finally, several experiments are designed to test the system function, such as information collection, home appliance control, security alarm and remote monitoring.The experimental results show that this system can provide a real-time and reliable management for the smart home. The study work of this thesis has important significance for the promotion of smart home system, development of Internet of things technology and household appliances network.
