Along with social progress and development of technology and the rise of high-tech automation control technology, people depend more and more on power, with the number of the improvement of people’s living standard and the rapid growth of electrical equipment, leading to rapid rise of electrical load, resulting in power system are increasingly high requirements. Battery as a backup power system DC power supply system, backup power as in the power substation, UPS system plays a very important role. The battery is mainly used for standby power supply load of relay protection position, automation equipment in substation, its reliability is directly related to the safe operation of power grid power. The battery working state is good, the battery is abnormal, whether due to discharge leads to the failure quickly, these bad operation will directly influence the safe operation of the battery power system, serious when can cause a major accident. So the regular detection and on-line monitoring is very important for real-time monitoring of the operation of the battery, the battery, a battery can be in view of the existing situation of timely repair, in order to achieve the safe operation of DC power supply system.This paper analyses some problems necessary to monitor the battery and the battery running process, the relationship between the work principle of the battery and some main parameters are described, and introduces how to realize the real-time monitoring of substation battery mode using the online monitoring technology and the running status and working condition and affect the stability of the technical parameters is analyzed and studied. This paper uses the computer software technology, network technology and related hardware technology organically, realizes the battery on the substation’s intelligent monitoring and analysis, the system uses the B/S architecture model, using the popular development framework J2 EE to achieve the design and implementation of the entire project, the stable operation of the system, for battery monitoring and management of substation has stepped to a new level. Through this system, can make the operation personnel to understand the running status of the battery, through comprehensive analysis for the operation of the storage battery can be timely found safety problems existing in the accumulator, and real-time alarm for abnormal situation occurs, thereby reducing the grid security hidden trouble of battery not benign operation, and provides reliable guarantee for safety operation power grid.
