Since 1885, the mechanical seal was patented in England in 1890 and began to be used in the bearing seal,mechanical seal has been widely used,Although the mechanical seal technology is not the core technology, but because of the mechanical seal technology can increase the service life of machinery and equipment, becoming a key technology for the process industry, the study, development, and application of mechanical seal has much concern in our country and other country,Some academics have also done research,but these studies were limited to the macroscopic scale slotted end face, it did not involve the medium scale aspects.Based on the above considerations, this paper was to investigate the impact of micro-scale mechanical seal groove properties.In this paper, Analysis of the mechanical seal faces dynamic pressure bearing capacity mechanism of formation theory was maked with the help of Reynolds equation, and analyzes of mechanical face seal mechanism was maked too. On this basis, the paper designed the experimental platform to test the mechanical properties of the sealing experiment, and select some sensors to be measure different parameters of sealing performance,which can test the performance parameters of the work of sealing the open end faces of different geometries of the hole.In this last, the sealing performance of different pass groove mechanical seal face numerical simulation was maked and get the following conclusions:(1)electrochemical finishing technology can effectively improve the quality of the l seal face surface morphology of seal mechanical and improve the seal friction properties, greatly Increase the growth of its service life can greatly reduce the work piece seal machine maintenance costs.(2)Through the study of lubrication theory and dynamics of different groove seal mechanism, it can be concluded that It can set up a certain appearance of sealing groove or microporous of the sealing face.Under certain boundary conditions of thefluid pressure and medium speed,It can achieve non-contact seal zero leakage.(3)Through the simulating calculations of these two morphology,it Can be found that the sealing performance of Hemispherical-shaped protrusion mechanical face is better than Hemispherical-shaped microporous mechanical face; the sealing performance of the electrochemical finishing machining is better than the sealing performance of the EDM and laser machining.
