Determining the wind pressure distribution and shape coefficient on the complex shape structure that is large span and large space is the key to wind resistant design of structures,in the current specification, there is no relevant provisions and no similar research for reference. Traditional research method is determined by wind tunnel test, however, it requires a lot of manpower, material and financial resources, besides long test cycle and the results by the conditions and limitations are disadvantages. In this paper based on the principle of atmospheric boundary layer theory and fluid dynamics, considering complex shape terminal building as the research object, it is carried on the quantitative study in the wind process using CFD numerical simulation method. The parameters influence of CFD numerical simulation results are studied, that is consisted of computational domain, meshing technology, turbulence model, discrete scheme and algorithm, boundary conditions, results of determination and model scale and so on, compared with the wind tunnel test results, so the wind resistant design method of complex shape structure based on CFD numerical simulation is established. At the same time, the complex shape terminal building is calculated and analyzed using CFD numerical simulation under 24 different wind directions, wind tunnel test data is used to evaluated the accuracy of CFD numerical simulation, and verifying the reliability and stability of pervasive solutions and the method for further. This can make CFD numerical simulation become a practical technology to be applied, finally it can achieve a reasonable evaluation on complex shape structure under wind load.On the basis of this, it is gotten the average wind pressure coefficient, velocity vector, wind field distribution and turbulent kinetic energy distribution on the complex shape terminal building using CFD numerical simulation, so the relationship of complex shape building form and wind field flow around it is discussed and analyzed. Through analyzing geometry optimization of the structure to reduce wind-induced response of the structure, so the optimal combination between architectural form and wind pressure distribution of the comprehensive system with operating requirements is determined. A positive interaction between architectural form and wind load is established, and it provides the theory basis for wind resistance design of similar complex shape building and selecting reasonableaerodynamic shape under wind load.
