Bridge construction is an important part of the transportation infrastructure, and movable scaffolding system construction technology, as a kind of advanced bridge construction procedure, wins the favor of many people with its unique advantage in the industry, and its market share is increasing rapidly. However, during movable scaffolding system construction, due to some reasons such as equipment, management, operation, safety accidents occur frequently, which brings about adverse effects to further popularization and application for technology of the movable scaffolding system to build a bridge. To avoid moving die set safety accidents, eliminate the potential safety hazard in the process of movable scaffolding system construction, this paper studied the safety monitoring system of movable scaffolding system.This paper chooses the whole construction process of a certain type of downward movable scaffolding system to have a researches, builds the three-dimensional model of downward movable scaffolding, analyzes the unsafe factors of each construction links by using the finite Element Method, and puts forward the safety monitoring system scheme of movable scaffolding system with the engineering practice. Based on the PLC and ZigBee technology, it completes the software and hardware development of the security monitoring system. Hardware development includes the design of data acquisition part(the corresponding sensor selection and design of the left and right mold displacement, vertical shift displacement, wind speed, the support reaction force of front and rear jack, and the jacking force of vertical shift cylinder), the controller design of type selection of PLC and man-machine interface, video monitoring system design and system design of external circuit. According to the hardware platform of System, it bases on Siemens programming software microwin v4.0 sp9 for software development environment, and uses ladder diagram programming language to complete the system programming, at the same time, realizes the real-time display of running status and alarm of movable scaffolding system with WINCC flexible 2008 sp4 for software development environment. At last, it tests the reliability and adaptability of the security monitoring system of movable scaffolding system by the way of computer running experiment, and finds out the defects in the installation and use of the system for further improvement and perfect.This security monitoring system of movable scaffolding system has applied nearly a year at a construction site in Yueyang, it can effectively and timely monitor the running status of equipment, when the dangerous working conditions occurs, it can send out a alarm signal, and remind regulators to promptly take effective measures for avoiding a accidents, and it achieves the target of book design.
