At present, there are three main methods of the bridge superstructure construction. They are scaffolding cast-in-situ method, precast installation method and movable scaffolding method. Movable scaffolding method(MSS) is a newer method of construction. Compared with the others, this method needs less space, no foundation treatment and lower headroom requirement under the bridge. It belongs to bracket construction. The equipment which this method adopts is movable scaffolding system. It’s a kind of construction machine with its own template for cast-in-situ bridge, using bearing platform and pier column as supporting, and is widely used in continuous beam construction of highway and railway bridge.MSS is a more advanced equipment for bridge construction. It has many advantages for building concrete box beam, for example, higher degree of mechanization, higher speed, better quality of construction, wider range of application, and so on. So it has already been widely used at home and abroad. But the research about bridge fabrication machine at home is later relatively. In this paper, the study of design of and construction technique about uplink movable scaffolding system used in construction is going on under the background of Fuzhou Bridge Construction Guangdong Province the writer had participated in before.At first, the main types of MSS and differences among them are introduced, and the overall plan is designed in combination with the practical situation of the construction requirements and related parameters. Then, the structure and operating principle of its stated, working condition and load are analyzed. According to the structure and construction principle of MSS, the calculation is carried on with finite element software ANSYS. The 3D finite element model of the main components is established and the stress deformation under different conditions of them are analyzed emphatically, and it provided related evidence for the overall design and manufacture. At last, the construction technique and linear control of it about MSS are introduced.The overall design and manufactures installation are stated emphatically. Static load test has been carried on before construction. It verified the stiffness and strength index of bridge fabrication machine. Especially, the construction technology and various working conditions are analyzed. The MSS designed has been used and goes very well in the practical construction. This research plays a certain guiding role in design and manufacture of the same type MSS, and also has reference value for bridge construction process.
