| Subgrade settlement requires serious attention during highway construction since it is very likely to cause a series of road surface diseases. The currently used monitoring system of subgrade settlement lack the ability to monitor the subgrade effectively in the long term, and fail to conclude a complete process of the subgrade settling. A real-time, effective and long-term monitoring of subgrade settlement is of great significance in reducing subgrade settlement damage and improving pavement life.In this paper, the author analyzed the principle of subgrade settlement and confirmed the computing method, then performed subgrade settlement analysis and prediction based on the actual measurement from the project to build an appropriate subgrade settlement prediction system. Besides, in order to meet the demand of real-time, long-term and accurate monitoring, the author designed remote monitoring system of subgrade settlement based on GPRS combining the sensor monitoring and wireless web technology.The remote monitoring system mentioned in this paper includes monitoring unit, data acquisition modules and remote communication modules. The real-time subgrade settlement information would be gathered by the monitoring unit and be transmited to the distant computer management center. The author developed a subsidence monitoring data processing and forecasting system. This system designs a correction algorithm, a settlement curve regression fitting method and a settlement prediction algorithm based on the degree of consolidation to processing the subsidence data of the monitoring system, enables the subsidence data to accurately reflect the subgrade settlement trend and forecast of subgade settlement effectively. |
