The problem of traffic safety on the snow icy road(bridge) has been paid more and more attention. A variety of methods were put forward by transportation scientific research department all over the world to solve this problem. However, due to the limitations of the methods, like low effieieney, high cost, easily destroyed of road, energy consurnption, and poor circulation. growing interest is concerned at the decelopment of the hydrothermal deicing and snow melting technology, which is more promising, green energy and recycling.Little work has been done on this problem nowadays in the domestic. In this paper, according to the characteristics of the circulating water of buried pipe, numerical simulation is performed on the buried pipe bridge deck of hydrothermal type snow melting system. The research is mainly concentrated at the following:Firstly, the composition of the hydrothermal snowmelt system was described and the pipe laying and pipe connections of the bridge deck were analyzed. The choice of the pipe material, pipe diameter and fluid was proposed. Using the basic principles of heat transfer, combined with the pipe deck snowmelt system, the snow melting process of heat transfer, boundary conditions and calculation of convection coefficients were analyed systematically.Secondly, a three-dimensional thermal model was established to analyze the transient temperature field of buried pipe of bridge deck pavement with the finite element method. The effect of different pipe depth, pipe spacing,water temperature, and velocity of flow on the bridge deck surface temperature field, heat flux and snowmelt time was studied to provide a reference for the highway bridge deck deicing system design and construction.Thirdly, buried pipe deck is different from the ordinary deck after applying the temperature load. A deck structure model was therefore established with the finite element method to analyze the temperature effect of the pavement and pipe under environment cooling or buried pipe heating situation, in order to put forward a reasonable buried pipe solution.Finally, for buried pipe deck subjected to the combined effect of environment cooling, buried pipe heating and vehicle loading, the stree situation of pavement is totally different from the situation with on the bridge deck.The mechanical response of buried pipe pavement under different conditions was analyed here with the coupling of the three factors.
