The hollow slab bridge is one of the most widely used type of bridge currently. To the bridge, bridge deck pavement has a role in protecting the bridge deck, improving durability of bridge and prolonging service life of the bridge. However, bridge deck pavement involves both bridge and road, its importance have not been fully recognized in a very long time. Compared to the rapid development of the bridge structure and road engineering technology, research on the bridge deck pavement is relatively slow. In addition, the specificity of the hollow slab bridge makes the damage of pavement more seriously in actual operation. Therefore, in order to improve the mechanical properties of the hollow slab bridge pavement, prolonging the life of the bridge, research on the pavement is very necessary.The stress stat of pavement of hollow slab bridge is very complex, its mechanical properties not only restricted by its own materials, but also affected by the ambient temperature and load conditions. Thence, its mechanical analysis must take into account the combined effect of various factors. This paper use finite element analysis software to establish the three dimensional entity unit mode of hollow slab bridge. By arranging the vehicle load at different locations, I determined the most precarious positions of loading in both horizontal and vertical. On this basis, the paper study a series of factors that may affect mechanical properties of bridge deck pavement, such as the thickness and elastic modulus of asphalt pavement and concrete pavement, the elastic module of hinge joint and hollow slab, raising or lowering the ambient temperature, positive and negative temperature gradient. Moreover, this paper summarized a series of laws of pavement of hollow slab bridge for each of the factors.The results of this paper have some meaning for the design of bridges and the bridge deck pavement. Meanwhile, it also can provide theoretical references for further study of bridge deck pavement problems.
