People in the way of green environmental protection transportation requirements is becoming more and more urgent with the development of social economy a nd the improvement of environmental awareness. The electric vehicle(EV) is the most important way with the rising of it. However, the development and spread of EV are restricted critically because of the defects of traditional cable charging, such as operation inconvenient, production sparks easily and can’t work in harsh conditions. Wireless power transfer(WPT) for EV provides a possibility to solve the questions. WPT is the main development direction of the market today, because this mode can operate easily, there is no contact loss and electric shock risk, and is easy to implement automation.The design of WPT system for EV is regarded as the target of this paper, wireless power transfer theory is analyzed in detail basing on the electromagnetic induction law and inductively coupled principle. Otherwise, resonance theory, S-S compensation structure and control ways are introduced in chapter 2. Depend on the theory introduced above, detail parameters of system and chips of control are designed in chapter 3, and the results are checking by simulation software PSIM. At last, a WPT for EV system are made, and the experiment results are similar to the simulation result. The WPT system can charge stably.
