Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, suffers severe shortage of water resource. The water supply company has continually improved optimal management to fulfill growing water demand of urban construction and residents’ living.The paper firstly introduced the research background and current water supply situation, as well as technological process, then dynamic hydraulic model for Yinchuan water supply system was set up with pipe network hydraulic calculation based on constant flow mass conservation and principle of conservation of energy. Technical road map was worked out in application of scheduling determination with water supply pipe network simulation via mass data collection. Secondly, centrifugal pump operation condition curve was stimulated on the basis of abundant actual running data according to least square method. Finally, stimulations of pipe network hydraulic and pump operation conditions were successfully applied in Yinchuan water supply scheduling.On the basis of classical hydraulic principles, the water supply pipe network hydraulic model was established through application of computer, survey, GPRS, GPS, geographic information, as well as modern communication technology. With this model, real-time operation status of existing pipe network could be known, water supply system operation conditions could be analyzed, problems to be found timely, further more, it is possible to predict running conditions of pipe network in case external constraint conditions change.Nonlinear fitting curve was transformed to linear curve via least square method, thus measured Q-H curve of pump was drawn via linear fitting, which was verified by means of abundant actual running data. Real operation curve of various pump units and united operation was therefore fitted. With the work above, it would be possible to analyze how the centrifugal pump is working and make adjustment in scheduling accordingly, which has the great significance for energy-saving and cost-reducing as well as secure water supply.Yinchuan water supply scheduling information system is based on water supply pipe network hydraulic model, with application of pipe network simulation and pump running simulation, providing decision making basis of water scheduling, which is a great progress compare with experience based determination in the past, in this system, date sharing was realized and scheduling became more efficient.
