With the development of automobile industry, the stamping parts which compose the vehicle body are being used more and more frequently, as same as the development of stamping technology itself. Concerning with the out-looking and security performance,the stamping parts are undertaking much higher and higher quality standard, especially for the body skin panel,which is the important quality index in the vehicle manufacturing.It is highly acknowledged that stamping parts are produced by press machine and stamping dies. Due to the total-automatically press line,obvious improvement did happen in the parts quality control and productivity. On the contrary, more developed the facility and die is, much more elements can affect the surface quality, and in addition, these elements have close relations among each other. As a result,it becomes the key point that how to find out the affecting key factors and resolve it by systematically analysis and research.Nowadays, CAE technology can help a lot in the analysis for stamping parts surface quality. This thesis gives a case about it. Firstly, combine theory and practice,figure out the key factors influencing BP31 body side surface quality, secondly, construct the model for simulation by CAE, and at last, analyze the result scientifically by Orthogonal test method,end with obtaining best process parameter. All the research process and methods can be applied in the OEM’s actually design and production,also pointing the direction for the future development of stamping parts quality.
