Xinjiang poplar mainly grow up in the south of Xinjiang,the growth cycle is short and grow fast,high yield.But due to its poor durability,low intensity,it is rarely as the main force component used in civil engineering structures.So that this material can not be made the best of locally and fully utilized.Currently,poor mechanical properties of wood can be enhanced by reinforced method making them effective utilization.Reinforced technology of using fiber reinforced plastics is an effective way to reinforcement,where basalt fiber reinforced plastics is an independent research and environmentally friendly that are natural degradation of composite materials with good thermal insulation,sound insulation,corrosion resistant,non-toxic,non-flammable,and good mechanical properties,having good prospection and depvelopement in the strengthing field.Reinforcing Xinjiang poplar with BFRP not only can enhance the mechanical properties of Xinjiang poplar,but also can effectively use its own resources,protect the environment,develope the market of using Xinjiang poplar,make use of the practical projects.At the same time,it will make up the inadequate of the reinforcement methods and provide a reference.By 16 rectangular cross-section beams bending experiment,consider six kinds of reinforcement methods,including the changes of the length of paste BFRP cloth on the bottom of the beams,as 1100 mm,1700mm and 1900 mm,and three kinds of U-hoops of different spacing of pasting.By compared bending experiment results between unreinforced Xinjiang poplar beams and reinforced beams,anlyses the difference of the failure characteristics,the untimate load,the load and deflection,the strain of the two,give a law of changes of reinforced beams;at the same time,compared the bending experiment results between BFRP and CFRP,obtain difference among the two difference reinforced material.
