Raised Pavement Markers(RPM) as one of the road traffic safety facilities,is fixed to edge or center of the road, often used in conjunction with the road marking, to provide warning and inducing affection. In the bad weather or at night, through the active lighting or reflecting, the RPM provide the driver with visual guidance. In rolling process, the vibration of driver is caused by the height of the self-projection. The reflective performance of the RPM is related to its own material, so this paper does not study this part. However, the vibration performance is related to spacing the RPM on the ground and other factors. This study focuses on analysis the factors affecting the vibration performance of the RPM, and obtain the full playing on the vibration warning effect of layout scheme. The factors affecting the vibration warning effect of the RPM are the layout form, the placement space, the model, the vehicle speed and the steering wheel angle. During the study of these factors, we consider all kinds of factors and build the simulation program, and the research and analysis of the relationship between the layout elements and the warning effect of the RPM in highway are carried out by software, finally, the simulation results of different schemes are obtained. In addition, the simulation software choose the virtual Mechanical simulation software Adams(Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical System), and the primary part use the module of Adams/Car.The study mainly includes: first, determine the reasonable interval of the signs in the straight sections of the highway. The interval is based on the driver visual inertia and visual warning frequency and is combined with vehicle speed measured to meet the driver visual warning effect. Taking into account the pavement marking construction and ease of maintenance, and the layout recommended by GB standard to amend the initial spacing layout program. Second, according to different factors simulations to develop appropriate solutions. Because of the type of processes signs, layout spacing, layout form, speed and the driver when driving the steering wheel angle members are to a certain extent the effect of vibration, so the layout program to determine the interval then add these factors in order to establish a reasonable simulation program. Third, the experiment is based on the model built by the simulation software. By using Adams simulation software to build models of different kinds of cars, build models with different road roughness coefficient and protruding signs bump model by using the software Adams/Car modules. To obtain simulation results by simulating the warning effect of protruding signs marking role. Fourth, to obtain the relationship and the variation between layout elements and warning effect of processes signs on the highway by establishing the evaluation criteria of warning effect. Fifth, in this paper, Adams/Car simulation software carried out 486 times’ simulation about the initial interval at different speeds, the deflection angle, vehicle location and initial bias, some points can be obtained according to the simulation data: the average rate of 12 m interval warning of small cars and large cars is respectively 41.7% and 5.6%, while the average 15 m spacing small cars and larger vehicles warning rate is respectively 33.3% and 28.9%, the small cars of 12 m and 15 m spacing intervals have better vibration warning effect than large cars, the warning effect of the cars of 15 m is better than the cars of 12 m.
