The Research Of Vehicle Handling Stability Test On Six Degrees Of Freedom Driving Simulation Platform

Six degrees of freedom(6-DOF) driving simulation platform is the driving simulator with 6-DOF motion platform, it is widely used in the field of automobile. Vehicle handling stability is the lifeline of high-speed vehicles, is very important for the car. Using a driving simulator to study the vehicle handling stability is economy, safety, energy saving and high efficiency. So this paper used the driving simulator to study the Steering stability test.This paper introduces the application and research situation of driving simulator, and the study of vehicle handling stability test. This paper expounds the 6-DOF driving simulation platform. It mainly includes the performance index and structure of the driving simulation platform, the driving mode of the platform, the choosing of the electric cylinder parameter, and the designing of the driving simulation device. It also researched the control principle and the main functions of the driving simulation system. This paper has designed the vehicle handling stability simulation test data processing software of 6-DOF driving simulation platform, including car at low speed and high speed steering return-to-center performance test data processing module, auto steady turning performance test data processing module, car steering wheel angle pulse performance test data processing module, automotive steering transient(Angle step input) driving performance test data processing module, cars drive coil performance test data processing module. By using the software to do with and evaluate the vehicle handling stability simulation test data of s 6-DOF driving simulation platform, we got objective evaluation results of the vehicle model of the 6-DOF simulation platform. Finally, we also evaluated the handling stability of vehicle model of 6-DOF driving simulation platform subjectively, and established the subjective evaluation index, the index weight of subjective evaluation, subjective evaluation method. Through the subjective evaluation test of handling stability of vehicle model of 6-DOF driving simulation platform, we got objective evaluation results of the vehicle model of the 6-DOF simulation platform, and compared with objective evaluation results, they were consistent.
