With the sustained and rapid development of international offshore engineering business, people pay more and more attention to the safety of life at sea. International SOLAS amendments approved by International maritime organization, the maritime safety committee on 1974. It put forward the higher requirements of design, production, use and maintenance facilities of lifesaving equipment, at the same time, elaborated and specified the requirements of lifesaving equipment more clearly. As early as November 17, 1983, IMO approved Res.A.536(13)《the code of safety for diving system》. Diving maintenance support vessel to be equipped with an evacuation system, having sufficient capacity to evacuate all divers under pressure, in the event of the vessel having to be abandoned, and should be in accordance with the provisions of this code. This system should not only satisfy the IMO regulations, but also the SOLAS.This thesis introduces the background and development status of saturation diver hyperbaric lifeboat. Expounds the features and relevant design regulations of hyperbaric lifeboat. This subject aims to design idea of hyperbaric lifeboat, based on the design of 10.5 meters hyperbaric lifeboat and prototype test. Content included center of gravity, static, stability, buoyancy, strength design and hyperbaric chamber introduction. Finally, the prototype test results show that 10.5 meters hyperbaric lifeboat can meet the requirements of regulations and rules.This thesis provide the research reference and help of this system to the institute and company in China.
