Research On The Open Campus Transformation Of ’beijing University Of Aeronautics And Astronautics’ Base On Environmental Behavior Science

The open university campus is a kind of planning methods for the better sharing of resources, just like knowledge, culture and sport equipment. Also, it is the inevitable trend of the university’s development. The aim of the open campus is to achieve the better exchange of resources and knowledge of the society. With the philosophy of higher education is becoming more and more open, networked and diversified, the traditional method of teaching will be phased out. Also, the campus planning thought of rigorous and majestic has been questioned. The cultural and academic of university needs to communicate with the society. The students need to integrate with the society; the public also want to step into the campus. So what kind of platform should be built for the communication? What kind of communication will be fine? All of these questions can be answered if we can consider the need of the users. Therefore, environmental behavior science has become effective means of the reconstruction of the open campus.Through the open campus reconstruction of Beihang University, this paper educes the research, and point out than the university should open the gate and share the resources, basing on the meeting of the need of the teachers and students; also, the campus should spread the history and cultural to the public to attracted more visitors, so that the students can communicate them. The paper not only researches the development of the campus space and the type of open campus, but also analysis the actual case. From the cases, we can know that the west campus is embodied in the city pattern, while the Chinese campus use the reasonable management basing on the closed form.Based on the case analysis and studying of the basic norms of campus planning and environment behavior theory, the author visited the Beihang University, research every kind of element, and spread the questionnaire. The aim is to point out the thought of the layout of the campus, basing on the history and culture, the eventual of the university, and the users’ behavior andfeeling. Finally, we can build up a campus planning method, which not only focus on the history and cultural, but also analysis the behavior and feeling of the users.Based on the research above, this paper conducts the practice research by the Beihang University campus open reconstruction project, and point out theexplanation of Beihang University surrounding environment and its own characteristics. This design of the open campus, from the crowdsrequirementsand inheritance of Beihang University Aerospace cultural, make the Beihang University become a university with the beautiful landscape and effective sharing resources, from the original closed, no characteristics campus, so that more visitors can be attracted. Finally, this paper try to reform the open mode of the campus landscape design, and provide more basis and reference for further research and practice.
