Car bumper punching process is one of the auto processing technologies, this technology has experienced human power, auxiliary stamping equipment, bumper punching machinery and so on several stages. The traditional process has such disadvantages as low degree of automation, labor-intensive, low punching efficiency, so it can’t achieve bumper punching in batches, and can’t meet the requerments of Today’s booming car market. Currently, the domestic punching equipment for car bumper punching appeares only in recent years, its precision machining, surface finish and can not meet the requirements of automobile manufacturers.According to the requirements of general automated bumper punching, car bumper punching system was designed. it can achieve the loading and unloading of bumpers,and recognize different types of car bumpers. so this study has important value for engineering Application.Main work of the thesis:(1) According to the car bumper punching process and functional requirements of partners,completed the design of the overall system of automatic bumper punching program.(2) According to the car bumper punching process, designed of the overall mechanical structure, including Industrial robots loading and unloading mechanism, universal punching mechanism,security agencies mechanism, bumper species identification institutions.(3) According to the car bumper punching action requirements, developed a control strategy for automatic car bumper punching control system. using PLC control approach, combined with good mechanical construction and reliable electrical hardware platform, achieved good running between PLC and robot controller.(4) Designed the control system hardware architecture, including PLC and its extension, a touch screen, sensors, other electrical components.Application research on the battery testing line can provide a kind of effective method of automatic battery test.(5) Designed the system software, including the PLC program, touch screen programming, robotics programs. PLC program, including manual procedures, automated procedures, alarm procedures, Tools automatic recognition program and so on.Through the applied research of car bumper punching system,we find an effective new method for automated Bumper punching.
