In recent years,the axial plunger pump has developed rapidly and it has been widely used in many fields. As an important power units in hydraulic system, Axial plunger pump has important a influence on the performance of the whole hydraulic system. Therefore, many domestic and foreign scholars pay close attention to the research of axial piston pump.During the distribution process in axial piston pump, The complex flow state in the internal flow field has an important influence on the performance of the pump, So the flow field of the distribution process in axial piston pump has always been a research hot spot. With the rapid development of computational fluid dynamics, using the numerical simulation method to study the flow field of the axial piston pump and optimizing the pump design based on the results of numerical calculation have become an important means to improve the performance of the axial piston pump.The Numerical simulation can not only save test cost greatly, but also can clearly show the details of the local flow field. Therefore, the numerical simulation plays an important role in both theoretical analysis and the engineering application.In the numerical simulation, choosing a suitable calculation model has an important influence on the accuracy of the calculation results. But there is not a general calculation model for all kinds of fluid problem, the applicability of different calculation model is not the same according to specific problems. At present, there is not a universally applicable model in the analysis of the flow field in the axial plunger pump, so The purpose of this paper is comparing the calculation precision of the different models in the analysis of the flow field in the axial plunger pump and selecting the most suitable calculation model.As the research foundation, the characteristics and application scope of the used models in numerical simulation was introduced in this paper. In this study, SCY25 was closed as the research object.Different models were used in the calculation of three-dimensional flow in impeller of the pump. After that, the PIV test was conducted under the same conditions. The vortex system structure in the flow field, the velocity distribution characteristics in the flow field and the Flow and pressure characteristics of the system were obtained both in numerical calculation and PIV experiment. Through the analysis of the internal flow field in different working condition a conclusion can be obtained that the Laminar model is suitable for flow field calculation under the condition of low flow, standard k-e model and RNG k-e model are suitable for flow field calculation under the condition of high flow. In order to improve the accuracy,the Model parameters of the standard k-e model were modified. The researches show that the precision of calculation can be improved by selecting the appropriate model parameters.
