Because of the red clay with high moisture content, high void ratio, high plasticity, special engineering properties such as in the dry-wet circulation function and repeated traffic loads of red clay roadbed strength and stability decline for a long time, make the roadbed have some diseases. Paper aimed at the phenomenon of red clay roadbed disease, yuqing to kaili expressway roadbed filler as the research object, based on the theory of soil1.It is concluded that the red clay basic physical indices and compaction characteristics;2.Obtained in 106 ℃ and 34 ℃, moisture content and compaction of red clay shrinkage varies with the change of the drying time;3.Obtained at 34 ℃ compaction red clay swelling deformation law;4.In 106 ℃and 34 ℃, by dry-wet cycle test, the compaction swell-shrink deformation law of red clay is obtained;5.At 106 ℃, through the contraction of the cube and cylinder sample test, the changing rule of the cracks is obtained;6.By dry-wet cycle test, by means of image processing technology, it is concluded that the crack rate and the relationship between cycles;7.Through the indoor model test, under the condition of 34 ℃ under dry-wet circulation, it is concluded that the crack propagation law and the relationship between the dry-wet cycles.Reveals that the red clay under the condition of 106 ℃ and 34℃ swell-shrink deformation characteristics and the regularity of crack extension. Research on red clay road with the improvement of the performance evaluation system has important academic value, in red clay area highway construction has a certain practical significance, and provide technical reference for other industries.
