| As the number of vehicles increases, traffic accident is getting frequent. Among these traffic accidents, the tire fault caused by tire pressure is a significant factor. The best method to prevent tire faults is to know tire pressure in advance and then estimate its safety of tires. Therefore, tire pressure measurement system(TPMS) is proposed accordingly. As the existing TPMS is powered by batteries, changing batteries periodically is unavoidable, which is quite inconvenient. Aming at solving the problem above, this paper presents a designing method of tire pressure measurement system with energy harvesters. The proposed system is able to monitor tire pressure in real time and harvest energy to get self-powered.Firstly, this paper analyzes the requirements of tire pressure measurement system and carries out the overall design of TPMS with energy harvesters. Different kinds of TPMSs are studied comprehensively, and direct external TPMS is finally adopted. Overall design of the proposed system is investigated, including the design of tire pressure monitoring sensor and tire pressure data receiver, the selection of energy harvesters method of tire pressure monitoring sensor. Secondly, this paper investigates the design and optimization of TPMS. The hardware and software of tire pressure monitoring sensor and tire pressure data receiver is designed, including chip selection, circuit of TPMS and communication protocol. The communication function of proposed TPMS is verified experimentally. Thirdly, this paper explores the designing and optimization of energy harvesters. A kind of electromagnetic vibration energy harvesters structure facing to TPMS is presented and explored in theoretical analysis, modeling, structure design and simulation optimization. Finally, experiments are conducted to test the harvesters efficiency of the proposed energy harvesting system and verify the function of the proposed TPMS with energy harvesters. The experiment results meet the expected goals, which lay the foundation for its application.The proposed designing method of TPMS with energy harvesters is practical, and provide a brand new method for passive TPMS. Its achievement is promising in the field of automotive electronics. |
