The automobile exhaust muffler is the most effective method to reduce the exhaust noise, however, the current design of exhaust muffler needs not only a large number of simulation analysis,knowledge and experience is highly dependent on the designers, which greatly limits thedevelopment of exhaust muffler design efficiency and success rate. To solve the above problems, this paper based on the analysis of the traditional design process of exhaust muffler, the exhaust muffler design method including intelligent analysisand intelligent performance exhaust mufflerstructure intelligent improved, not only can avoid a lot of time consuming due to the design phase of exhaust muffler performance analysis, and can assist inexperienced designers to complete the structure improvement. To achieve automation, intelligent exhaust muffler design of exhaust muffler, shorten the period of development, has important practical significance to reduce the cost of development.In the exhaust muffler intelligent analysis technology research, this paper based on thecharacteristics of exhaust muffler was established to obtain method decomposition of exhaust muffler characteristic parameters, and the use of extensible markup language can express thecharacteristic parameters of exhaust muffler model; study the automatic establishment process of exhaust muffler based on the fluid model expression, and local refinement method focuses on themodel of the division in automatic finite element mesh, summed up the local gri--d size model rules;finally the import and export plane finite element model of the muffler automatic identification method, and according to the actual needs of the muffler performance analysis, the exhaust muffler of import and export on the surface of the intelligent add corresponding boundary conditions. Laid the foundation for the performance of intelligent analysis of exhaust muffler.The improvement in the structure of exhaust muffler intelligent technology research, with the objective function evaluation of transmission loss of muffler function performance of the mufflercharacterization, for a proposed muffler acoustic performance evaluation of its multi goal weightedmethod based on piecewise spectrum attenuation characteristics. The method for determining theboundary conditions, through a lot of research and testing is proposed respectively according tothe principle of adding equality constraints and inequality constraints relationship relationship. The characteristics of PSO and ant colony algorithm are studied. Finally, the two algorithms are used as the optimization method.
