Injection molding products with high precision and high quality are needed to ensure the appearance and quality of injection molded products.At present,the design of injection mold mainly depends on the design experience of designers,and the level of designer’s experience will lead to the uneven quality of the designed mold;on the other hand,many operation steps of mold design for different types of plastic parts are the same,that is,there are a lot of repetitive design,which will inevitably lead to the low design efficiency.How to make full use of the accumulated design cases and the rich experience of skilled designers,improve the intelligent level of injection mold design,so as to shorten the research and development cycle of plastic products,is one of the problems to be solved by the current mold enterprises.In the face of the specific needs of mold enterprises for intelligent design of injection mold,based on a large number of domestic and foreign research literature on Mold CAD technology and intelligent design technology,this paper focuses on the key content of injection mold design,such as cavity structure design,mold base structure design,ejection structure design,cooling system design and so on The intelligent design method of each part is put forward based on reasoning,geometric reasoning,feature recognition technology and neural network technology.The main research contents and achievements of this paper include:(1)Cavity structure design of injection mold based on geometric reasoningIn order to solve the problems existing in the cavity structure design of injection mold with curved surface parting method,such as high requirement for designer’s experience,tedious parting and easy failure,an automatic cavity structure design method based on solid parting is proposed.The method can automatically identify the parting line of injection molding products and judge and push automatically through the technology of feature recognition and geometric reasoning The design efficiency is greatly improved and the failure rate of parting operation is reduced.(2)Structure design of injection mold base based on deep learning and rule reasoningIn order to make full use of the excellent design experience and the successful design cases accumulated by enterprises,on the basis of previous research results,through in-depth analysis of the specific experience and method of mold base design by mold factory designers,sort out and summarize the type selection knowledge of injection mold base,combined with the respective characteristics of deep learning and rule-based reasoning,designed the injection mold base selection scheme Based on the hybrid reasoning mode of deep learning and rule-based reasoning,the key parameters of mold base selection are obtained,and the advantages of the two models are brought into play,which improves the decision-making efficiency and accuracy of the mold base design system.(3)Ejection structure design of injection mold based on feature recognitionIn the process of ejector structure design of injection mold,the design of ejector pin and sleeve structure,especially the arrangement design of ejector pin,has the disadvantages of low efficiency,easy error and large amount of labor.Aiming at these problems,through the rule-based feature recognition technology,the narrow slot feature and screw column feature in the mold core can be automatically identified,and the specific location of the ejection point can be calculated automatically On this basis,the ejection structure model is quickly generated.(4)Design of injection mold cooling system based on model templateAiming at the problems of complicated design,large amount of labor and easy to make mistakes in the design process of the cooling circuit of injection mold,a typical structure model of cooling system is built,and the template library of cooling system is established.The important parameters of driving cooling system model template are obtained by interference inspection technology based on scanning line,and the cooling circuit structure model is generated by updating the template.To a certain extent,it avoids the blindness of cooling system structure design,speeds up the design speed and improves the design efficiency.(5)Development and implementation of intelligent design system for injection moldAccording to the research results of this paper,the intelligent design system of injection mold is developed based on NX software of Siemens company.The system consists of mold design subsystem,mold base design subsystem,ejection design subsystem and cooling design subsystem.Taking the mold design of aircraft interior parts as an example,the correctness and feasibility of the related methods described in this paper are verified by demonstrating the operation process of the system.
