Development put forward higher requirements for deep space exploration in future space missions and long-life satellite power for spacecraft and the distribution of the security, the satellite field distribution technology in China is faced with transition important stage, distribution technology to develop intelligent direction of high power, autonomous fault diagnosis and isolation.At present the traditional satellite remote power management technology by ground personnel through the instruction of the electric equipment and power control, the power distribution protection using fuses and relays "approach, which appeared in the case of a short circuit flow / can disconnect the load in the load bus protection, but the protection methods do not have the independence, real-time and recovery. Based on the research project "-- a new generation of intelligent power supply and distribution of satellite system" as the background. In the basis of comparative analysis of domestic and international distribution of satellite technology, intelligent power distribution technology is studied, and put forward a kind of intelligent power distribution strategy of self isolation and high reliability and can change the protection parameters. The strategy is different from the traditional management mode of ground remote control, can realize the energy management system of satellite in orbit and fault isolation, improves the reliability of the energy system and its adaptability to the task and on orbit self survival ability, to meet the high orbit satellite in low earth orbit, mission requirements, a solid technical foundation for exploration and implementation of satellite autonomous management. According to the strategy to the successful development of a intelligent power distribution unit self isolation and high reliability.Intelligent power distribution unit consists of control module and power module, the core part is the solid state power controller power module(Solid-state Power Controller referred to as SSPC), solid state power controller is the function of overcurrent / short-circuit protection, on orbit modification of I2 t curves, the rated current revision. Compared with independent distribution protection method of isolation of the intelligent power distribution unit and the traditional "fuse and relay", can realize the satellite on orbit self fault isolation and fault recovery of distribution. The hardware design, software design and structural design of intelligent power distribution unit, and through the relevant debugging and testing, experimental results show that the intelligent power distribution unit is fully consistent with the distribution of independent management, fault isolation and fault recovery function requirement and modular design requirements, with centralized management, distribution in the process of inverse time overcurrent / short-circuit protection, on orbit modification of I2 t curves, and modify the function advantages of rated current.
