Liquid lens is a rising research hotspot in the field of optical imaging. In order to satisfy people’s pursuit of high zoom rate and large zoom range of the liquid lens, a kind of liquid lens particularly suited to high zoom rate, namely double droplets of liquid lens are studied. Double droplets of liquid lens will make the droplets move up and down and all that is needed is acoustic excitation, then zoom is taken place. When the excitation frequency is consistent with the natural frequency of the double droplets of liquid lens, resonance will be produced, and then large zoom range can be gained. So when the resonance is produced, the greater the natural frequency of the double droplets of liquid lens, the higher the zoon rate, and the greater the zoom range.Firstly, mechanism analysis is carried out on the double droplets of liquid lens, kinetic equation is columned according to double droplets of liquid lens, thus the natural frequencies of the double droplets of liquid lens is deduced, the boundary condition influence of double droplet of liquid lens on its natural frequency is analyzed, the center of mass movement of the double liquid droplets and the change of the focal length lens in a cycle is predicted. Then the finite element software ANSYS modal analysis is carried out on the double droplets of liquid lens, and the natural frequency is got.Through the comparison among several kinds of working conditions, the influence regularities of the boundary conditions on the natural frequency of double droplets of liquid lens are got,and the results are consistent with the influence regularity of mechanism analysis. Finally a simple double droplets of liquid lens prototype is made, then experiment is carried out preliminary, using the method of orthogonal experiment to optimize process parameters which will effect the zoom rate and zoom range of double droplets of liquid lens, and optimum process parameters within a certain range are got.
