Design Study Of The University Communication Space Using Campus Culture Characteristics

Education is a fundamental policy of the country, at the same time it is regarded as the source which can help society make progress. As the development of education, more and more people propose higher requirements for building campus environment, in addition it is really necessary to show the students’ true space of study and communication. For this reason, introduce the related idea of designing campus communication space is quite important to help establish a high quality campus environment. Campus is a branch of teaching and living, as well as the mainly space for the communication between the teachers and students. Face to the pressure of study and employment, during the four years in the campus, students should not only good at specialized knowledge, but also need a health mental status to acclimatize the social changes. The design of the campus communication space has a specific and profound meaning to accomplish these education targets, so that we have to look and consider it in a different or valuable way.On the basis of Chinese conditions and background’s motive, add to the current students’ requirements of the campus space’s quality, this dissertation mainly talks about the campus space design using the campus culture characteristics.According to the individual features of the campus culture, this dissertation narrates the problem of campus communication space during the process. Combining the relationship between the culture and communication space, the article finally concluded the strategies and methods in designing communication space on the perspective of teacher and student’s requirements.The dissertation firstly analyzes the global current situation of campus communication space, and points out the problem of Chinese campus during the development. Hence the dissertation puts forward the campus communication space design’s main contents and methods as well as the meaning of study.Then based no the theory of campus communication space, this article introduces the types and features of campus communication space, in addition it comes up with the basic imagination and gets a number of measures to solve the problems which related to the requirements of campus communication space from teachers and students, as well as how to create the communication space using campus culture characteristics.At last, the article not only analyzes the relationship and functions between the campus culture characteristics and communication space, but also gives suggestions to blend the cultural environment into the campus communication space, the article summarizes the strategies and methods of designing communication space from research-based university, teaching and research university, vocational university, and take the Jiang’ an Campus of Sichuan University as an example to prove the theory and practice which discussed in the dissertation is suitable.
