Stable platform is by adjusting the ship attitude to insulate carrier turbulence when the system is heading change and caused by the waves rolling and pitching, so as to ensure the stability of stabilized platform and realize the need to combat tasks offshore movement, which is of great strategic significance and illustrate a good prospect of application. Therefore, this article takes a stable platform as research object, which mainly to compensation of ship’s roll and pitch and also can bear a heavy load, with high precision and high dynamic response, and researches the configuration design, static stiffness and dynamic characteristics and so on in some depth.Firstly, this paper carries on the configuration design of the 3-UPS/S parallel platform, based on that the concrete structure of the moving platform, the fixed platform, the platform of intermediate shaft, branched chain ends of the installation block and other major components are designed. And according to the requirements of design angle range selects the ball joints and Hook joint such as standard parts, then creates the 3D solid model of the platform mechanism.Secondly, the finite element model of the 3-UPS/S parallel platform was established by means of the ANSYS Workbench software. By setting parameters, meshing, loading constraints, adding the load and so on, analysis and calculation of the stiffness of the platform mechanism under different work load effect of different position.Then based on the theory of rigid flexible hybrid modeling, using the lumped parameter method and the dynamic method, the vibration mathematical model of the 3-UPS/S parallel platform system is established, and the complex analysis method is used to solve the vibration response. The combination of the Solid Works and ADAMS software, simplified processing, a simplified model of platform vibration of two schemes are established. And using the vibration analysis module in the ADAMS software to analyze the vibration characteristics of two kinds of scheme of platform mechanism.Finally, the prototype modal experiment platform is built, the prototype natural frequency test is performed using the pulse excitation method. Then the results obtained by experiment and calculated by the analytical method are compared and analyzed.
