With the development of economy and science technology, military industry, aerospace, oil transportation, nuclear power and other fields put forward the higher request on the precision and types of three direct links valve body. On the one hand, using traditional craft to produce high performance valve body already can not adapt to the current production needs, for its low efficiency and high energy consumption. On the other hand, the domestic demand for large body is big and the market is wild, most of them imported from foreign country, therefore there is an urgent need to research and develop the manufacturing process of large complicated domestic class body. This paper uses the multi-way die forging technology to produce level flanged large body, and simulates and studies the different schemes.Pro/e5.0 and Forge software is used to establish the thermal coupling numerical simulation model of the level of flanged valve multi-way die forging forming process. Firstly putting forward three different kinds of forming process depending on the body structure, carrying on the numerical simulation for each of them, analysising and comparising the advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of solutions, choosing a better solution, and making further improvement. This paper lists the various factors affecting the quality of body multi-way die forging forming, and by using numerical simulation method for selecting key adjustable factor. Analyzed the law that adjustable key factors on the influence of the evaluation index, based on that obtained a better solution. Simulating the better scheme, the forging’s quality forged by this scheme is better. Analysied the effect of the shape of the flange on the forming force, provide certain reference basis for similar body.In 6.5 mn die forging hydraulic press, using the better scheme for horizontal flanged body forming experiment. The experiment shows that the body’s quality produced by multi-die forging forming technology is good. The distribution of metal flown line is uniform. Mechanical properties and stress corrosion resistance were increased. Multi-way die forging technology research of level flanged large body has the very high practical value, it has a great guiding significance to practical production.
