A linear operational amplifier type and a switch-mode driving circuit were designed according to the capacitive property of laminated piezoelectric ceramics and the working mechanisms of the orthogonal coupling and the triangle transformational non-resonant piezoelectric linear motor with double driving feet. Moreover, a transition circuit between RS-232 level and TTL level and a human-machine interface was designed. Operating a button on the control interface can make the computer as an upper machine to send PSoC3 instructions to control the movement condition of the motor. The main content of this work were summarized as follows:(1)The piezoelectric linear motor and its application status were overviewed; also, the driving mode of laminated piezoelectric ceramics and the driving and controlling technologies were summarized, and the deficiencies of current driving and controlling technologies were analyzed.(2)The dynamic output characteristics of the PT0707 laminated piezoelectric ceramics were analyzed, and the design requirements of driving controller were put forward according to the mechanical structures and the working mechanisms of the motor.(3)A linear operational amplifier type driving circuit and a switch-mode driving circuit were designed; the design process of the signal generator, the voltage and power amplifier circuit and the DC regulated power supply of the linear op-amp type driving circuit, the bootstrap principle of the MOSFET driving circuit and the generation procedure of PWM were all described in detail.(4)The control flow of the motor was described, and the control methods of voltage regulation,frequency regulation, on-off operation and positive-negative operation were studied. Communication between PSoC3 and PC was implemented by using UART module, and a human-machine interface for easily controlling the operation of the motor was designed.(5)The waveform generation experiments were respectively carried out for two driving circuits.The linear operational amplifier type driving circuit can generate 4 channels sine/ square/triangular wave signals with phase displacement of 90 degree and DC bias; the switch-mode driving circuit can generate 4 channels square wave signals with phase displacement of 90 degree; and the voltage and frequency can be adjusted independently. At last, the comprehensive experiments were carried out to verify the practicability of the driving controller.
