With the popularization of China’s industrial automation, as the front end of the automatic production line, vibration feeders are widely used in recent years with the good performance of whole column directional, high efficiency, sweep through, low labor costs. The existing vibration feeders mainly include the electromagnetic vibration feeder and piezoelectric vibration feeder according to the classification of driving force. Based on the piezoelectric technology and the research of the modern piezoelectric, piezoelectric vibration feeder has been widely used in many transport areas such as aerospace, medical, food, precision electronics and so on, with the advantage of small volume,simple structure, low noise, fast frequency response, and no electromagnetic interference compare to the traditional electromagnetic vibration feeder.In this thesis, the linear vibration feeder with piezoelectric cantilever arranged horizontally is design. Compared to the traditional linear feeder, this one has a small longitudinal size. It can be installed in extremely strict height space. And according to the length of the transmission distance, we can set installation position and confirm the number of the piezoelectric bimorph by ourselves. This product can be flexible assembly and used in many occasions..The contents in this thesis includes:1. Plenty of research materials are referenced, the wide application of piezoelectric technology is analyzed. The practical significance of this thesis and its application prospect is pointed out on the basis of classify the piezoelectric feeder.2. Related characteristic and performance evaluation parameter demanded is confirmed through discoursing upon piezoelectric ceramics and piezoelectric bimorph. The piezoelectric bimorph’s vibration mode, vibrator type, support mode used in this feeder are defined. The work here provides the theory for the feeder’s structure design, analysis and experiment study.3. Structure of the linear vibration feeder with piezoelectric cantilever arranged horizontally is designed; the difference of structural between the traditional vibration feeder and the one this thesis designed are compared. Material deliver principle is represented Dynamic model of the whole system is established and the theoretical expression about amplitude amplification are stated. The influence factor about the amplitude, the natural frequency are confirmed, the piezoelectric bimorph’s vibration mode is analyzed by the finite element method analysis software. The Piezoelectric bimorph and elastic element are designed on the basis of dynamic analysis.4. The basic mechanism about the material feeding of the piezoelectric vibratory feeder is explained. The movement form and the condition that the movement forms can exist are explained on the basis of the force analysis of the moving materiel.5. Natural frequency of the linear vibration feeder with piezoelectric cantilever arranged horizontally is calculated by the software of finite element analysis in order to compare with the results of subsequent tests. The performances of feeder are experimental measured, which mainly included the voltage characteristic, frequency characteristic, and the relationship between the amplitude and the transmission speed. The impact of the various factors are analyzed and summed up.
