Loader is the most widely used equipment in engineering construction. Working device is one of the key components of the loader, as it is the perform structure of the loading and unloading operation, whose design level directly affects the loader’s work efficiency and economic indicators. In previous studies, mechanical analysis of working device are generally static analysis. To further understand its dynamic response in the whole course of the campaign, this paper is carried out multi-body dynamics analysis. It will be able to not only timely improved structure according to the calculation result to improve the working device’s mechanical properties, but aslo obtain time history of dynamic force to lay the foundation for the later strength and service life analysis.First of all, we created a three-dimensional model of the eight-bar mechanical form of working device of the loader, and established its parameterized mathematical model in ADAMS. Then according to the design requirements, we have successfully optimized the dimensions design, and obtained a working device with more good mechanical properties. Secondly, the rigid-flexible coupling model of working device was created by combining ANSYS and ADAMS software. On which multi-body dynamics simulation analysis were conducted, and its simulation results are analyzed in terms of performance indicators of working device. Lastly, by means of finite element analysis of the strength of the boom, we transformed the time course of the force into time course of stress. Furthermore, we defines the part S-N curve of the boom, load type, etc. After that fatigue life prediction is carried out, and dangerous points of the boom are found successfully.All in all, this paper, through model parameterization and optimal design, acquire working device with better performances. What’s more, dynamic stress are obtained by multibody dynamics analysis, which provide the basis for the design and optimization of the product.
